The Clean Streets Programme

This Programme is a common sense approach to keeping Westminster clean. It recognises we are a 24-hour City with a rapidly growing resident and visitor population. More people leads to more rubbish and dirtier streets. So we need to carry out frequent, efficient street cleansing - and deal with the growing problem of anti-social activities too. This monumental task is the biggest job of its kind - we must clear approximately 250,000 tonnes of waste annually.
