Waste Collection - Clean Streets

Keeping a 24hr city clean is a 24hr job. The Clean Streets waste collection, street cleansing and recycling contract is our strategy to do just that.

We signed a contract with Onyx UK (rewbranded as Veolia) which started on Monday 15th September 2003. The contract has been designed to fulfil our vision of Clean Streets with more sweeping, more street washing, new vehicles and equipment, improved residential recycling and extra waste collection services.

Your waste collection times are detailed on here.

We would ask you to help keep our streets clean and tidy by putting out your rubbish for collection no more than 30 minutes before the time of collection. Residential properties on the A.M. collection service should keep rubbish bags within the curtilage of their property boundary and not leave rubbish bags on the street.
