Project outline

Install PV panels on the roofs of various blocks at Warwick Estate. In the following blocks:

5-95, 96-127, 128-142 Atherstone Court; 10-78, 17-157, 100-106 Bourne Terrance; 2-32, 34-80 Senior Street; Oldbury House.

PV panels will be installed on the roofs of Warwick Estate in order to provide renewable energy to residents and generate surplus for the grid. This is in-line with the London Retrofit Action Plan (agreed by all London Housing Directors in September 2021) which sets out the need to increase the amount of renewable energy production. The project is funded by the climate emergency budget and supports the Fairer Westminster Strategy in becoming a net-zero council by 2030 and net-zero city by 2040. Maintenance of the units are planned to be added to the current process for our PV management - Oakray. Currently PV maintenance is not recharged to lessees and the cost of the install is not being recharged to lessees.
