Cross-sector workforce development
Find opportunities we have for learning and development to support your work with people with Multiple Disadvantage.
The cross-sector workforce development programme is open to all internal and external staff and partners. It includes Multiple Disadvantage related training, such as thematic topics including violence against women and girls (VAWG), chronic dependent drinkers, and models of care and interventions, and so on.
We have a mix of existing training, which we are now broadening out so anyone can attend, as well as new training that has been co-designed with the sector. This spans a range of learning needs, from bitesize training, longer courses and in-person events, on-line content and videos, or bespoke training for groups and teams.
You can access the wide range of training on offer via Groundswell.
If you are interested in bespoke trauma-informed or compassion focused therapy training for a larger group or team, then please contact our specialist team here. (link needed)
Systems leadership training
Supporting us to take a systemic-change approach, we are commissioning a specialist provider to deliver training focused on systems change within the context of supporting people with Multiple Disadvantage. This will be open to 3 cohorts of 15 to 20 individuals, with cohort 1 initially nominated by the Multiple Disadvantage Systems Change Strategic Group.
Developing our approach to co-production
We want to ensure that people with lived experience are seen as experts, who are at the centre of what we do and how we do it. Therefore, we are taking deliberate steps and efforts to enhance engagement.
To do this, we will work to develop the voice of people with lived experience via co-production groups, initially supported by Expert Link as an external trainer and convener. We will also develop service and strategic level responsibility and advocacy for much deeper and meaningful engagement approaches.
