About the fund
Our communities department administers the trust funds on behalf of the Edward Harvist Trust for the City of Westminster area. The Edward Harvist Trust fund in Westminster has moved to two yearly grant funding rounds. In each of the two rounds, approximately £20,000 to £30,000 will be available in total, meaning that applicants are likely to receive a grant no larger than £2,000 to £3,000 and should submit applications with this in mind.
Timelines
Grant applications will be processed when each round of applications closes, and announcements to all applicants will be made within four to six weeks after the application deadline.

General criteria for applicants:
- Grants are made to organisations rather than individuals. These must be registered not-for-profit organisations.
- Grants are not offered to cover the costs of any provision deemed a statutory responsibility. Grants can be made to statutory organisations provided they are for provision over and above the statutory responsibility.
- Grants can be used to support projects or running costs in line with the Trust's charitable objectives. These can include equipment costs, staff fees, rent, and utilities. They must contribute to fulfilling the same charitable purposes above.
- In Westminster, from April 2025, organisations accept applications through our online form only.
- Applicants can only be granted funding from the Trust once a year. For example, if you successfully receive grant funding through the April 2025 application window, you should not apply again to the trust until April 2026.
