Green Live Learning Lab
The Green Live Learning Lab uses Westminster as a living classroom, providing access to real-life climate projects.
What is the learning lab?
The Green Live Learning Lab uses Westminster as a living classroom, providing access to real-life climate projects. The hands-on approach helps residents understand low-carbon technologies, explore the transition to net zero, and develop their interest in jobs in the growing green economy.
Over 100 residents of all ages and from diverse backgrounds have got involved so far. Sessions have included visits to new low-carbon homes, retrofitted energy-efficient housing, rooftop solar panel installations, and electric vehicle charging points.

The Green Live Learning Lab is delivered by Westminster Adult Education Service (WAES) in partnership the council and supported by the MCS Foundation.
During the lab’s first year, some participants and WAES teaching students used what they learnt on site visits to co-create educational materials. These are now being shared with family learning programmes across the country by the Campaign for Learning.
