DreamArts - Express Plus (Bessborough Family Hub)

About the service

Express Plus is a dedicated one-to-one art therapy service, providing weekly creative therapeutic support to young people aged seven to 18 (or up to 25, where additional needs are present). Sessions take place with a qualifying or qualified therapist, where young people can explore any worries or difficult feelings through creative expression and games if they would like to. The team uses resources such as arts and crafts, sand play, puppets, and many others to support young people in expressing themselves in a comfortable, relaxed, and fun manner.

Express Plus is a user-led service, meaning that young people are at the core of all decisions made, and we encourage them to use the space in whichever way they see fit. A general offer of up to 18 weekly sessions is provided, with some flexibility, which is discussed on a case-by-case basis.

DreamArts accepts self-referrals from parents/carers and young people aged 14 and over. The service also accepts referrals from professionals working with young people and their families.
