Westminster Adult Autism Assessment and Diagnosis Service (WAAADS)

About the service

Westminster Adult Autism Assessment and Diagnosis Service (WAAADS) is run by Dr Catherine Cheung (a highly specialist Clinical Psychologist). The service offers help for people aged 18 and over without a global learning disability who are registered with a Westminster GP.

Services available include:

  • a specialist autism diagnostic assessment and post-diagnosis support;
  • consultation and advice for people with an established or potential
  • diagnosis of autism, their family members, and their professional network in relation to autism-specific recommendations such as engaging and communicating with people with ASD, managing mental health
  • social support workshop for people with an established diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder.

How to access the service

If you are 18 or over, your GP or other healthcare or social care professional will refer you to the Westminster Adult Autism Assessment and Diagnosis Service (WAAADS). The WAAADS assessment process involves at least three hour-long appointments with a team of autism specialists.
