Filming with a drone
Any commercial, or hobbyist, drone pilots who wish to operate in the City of Westminster may need to go through our application process.
As the team assess, and help crews mitigate impact to the public highway, we will likely request to see a copy of your flight plan and wish to understand the lowest height the UAV will be flown at, as well as information on the take-off and landing point.
Our key consideration is helping operators ensure their activity takes place with suitable management and has as little impact on businesses, residents and pedestrians as possible.
Regulations on filming with Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV’s) and commercial drones with regard to CAA permission is regularly updated.
