COVID-19 - we're here to help
Westminster City Council is keeping our communities safe by ensuring everyone can access support. Find out about looking after your mental health during coronavirus, testing sites and more.
Looking after your mental health
We know that for many people the current coronavirus situation may result in feelings of anxiety, loneliness or depression. It’s completely normal to feel bored, frustrated or lonely. You might also feel low, worried, anxious, or concerned about your health or that of those close to you. It’s important that you take care of your mind as well as your body and to get further support if you need it. If you need support with your mental health and wellbeing or someone to talk to, please call your GP or visit our website: westminster.gov.uk/mental-health-advice-support
Testing sites
Our semi-permanent, walk-through testing centres are open seven days a week, from 8am to 8pm. Find the locations here.
Mobile virus testing units will be available on North Carriage Drive in Hyde Park on Thursday 26 and Friday 27 November from 10.30am until 3.30pm.
A test must be booked in advance by calling 119 or on the NHS website. Testing is most effective within three days of symptoms developing and anyone with symptoms can get a coronavirus test, whatever their age.
Information about semi-permanent testing centres is available on our website in other languages, including Arabic, Bengali, Farsi, Portuguese, Tigrinya, Somali and Sorani.
Become a health champion
We’re looking for volunteers to join our COVID-19 Health Champions network. As a Health Champion, you will receive the latest information and advice about COVID-19 to share with family, friends, neighbours, colleagues and the wider community.
Health Champions are part of the Westminster Connects’ volunteering hub which continues to support thousands of Westminster residents in these challenging times.
