Get your nominations in for the 2024 Active Westminster Awards

Do you know of an inspirational individual, club or team who have been instrumental in keeping our Westminster communities active this past year? Make sure they get the recognition they deserve by nominating them as part of our 2024 Active Westminster Awards.

Now in its 15th year, the awards are a chance to highlight the hard work of inspirational people and organisations across Westminster. There are nine wide-ranging categories to nominate to for this year’s awards, including the PE and School Sport Award, the Rewarding and Celebrating Diversity Award, and the coveted Sports Personality of The Year Award.

Those shortlisted will be invited to the annual awards ceremony taking place on Friday 15 November at Porchester Hall, with the evening being hosted by BBC TV presenter, Qasa Alom.

Cabinet Member for Communities, Councillor Cara Sanquest, said:

“The Active Westminster Awards are a brilliant opportunity to honour the individuals and community groups who are bringing communities together through sport and physical activity across our city. They are often unsung heroes who bring communities together to get active, have fun, and support others to develop their talents and skills.

“I know how many fantastic individuals and clubs there are across the city, selflessly giving up their time to provide so many opportunities for our residents of all ages. This is your opportunity to make sure they get the recognition they deserve, so please get nominating!"
