Moberly Sports Centre, operated by Everyone Active in partnership with Westminster City Council, is providing free access to volunteer charity One Westminster to say thank you for all the work its staff and volunteers do in Westminster.

The charity’s staff and volunteers will be granted free access to all gym and swim facilities for the entire day on Monday 17th February, Random Acts of Kindness Day.

One Westminster is an organisation that recruits and places volunteers within the Westminster community. It currently supports over 200 voluntary and community organisations around Westminster, by placing volunteers in specialist projects that help people such as those with learning disabilities or who suffer from social isolation. The charity also supports community organisations, by helping them form partnerships with each other and with funders.

Cllr Paul Swaddle, Westminster City Council Cabinet Member for Community Services and Digital said: “There are so many fantastic volunteers in Westminster who work tirelessly to make things better in our community. It’s great to be able to offer free use of the gym and pool to Westminster One staff and volunteers as a way of saying a big thank-you for their efforts.”

“At Moberly Sports Centre, we wanted to show our support of all that One Westminster do for the Westminster community” says Everyone Active General Manager, Chris Yearley. “What better occasion than Random Acts of Kindness Day to open our doors to their staff and volunteers as a token of our appreciation.”
