Changes to the Cabinet team at Westminster City Council have been confirmed following the appointment of Cllr Rachael Robathan as the new Leader.
Changes to the Cabinet team at Westminster City Council have been confirmed following the appointment of Cllr Rachael Robathan as the new Leader.
The new Cabinet brings together a wealth of experience and talent in order to deliver on the Council’s City for All vision.
The new Cabinet team is made up of:
- Cllr Rachael Robathan – Leader
- Cllr Melvyn Caplan – Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Finance, Property and Regeneration
- Cllr Tim Mitchell – Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care and Public Health
- Cllr Paul Swaddle – Cabinet Member for Community Services and Digital
- Cllr Tim Barnes – Cabinet Member for Children’s Services
- Cllr Matthew Green – Cabinet Member for Business and Planning
- Cllr David Harvey – Cabinet Member for Housing Services
- Cllr Heather Acton – Cabinet Member for Public Protection and Licensing
- Cllr Andrew Smith – Cabinet Member for Environment and Highways
Leader of Westminster City Council, Cllr Rachael Robathan, said:
“Westminster is a special place at the heart of the capital, home to 250,000 residents and thousands of businesses including the nation’s high street, Oxford Street, and the wider West End. But it also faces complex challenges including climate change, air quality, rough sleeping and affordable housing.
“My new Cabinet brings together a wealth of skills and experience to tackle these issues head on and drive forward our City for All vision relentlessly and with innovation. Working with our partners from the public and private sector, we’re determined to deliver at pace in a fast-changing city for our residents.”
