Has your vehicle been removed?
What to do if your car has been removed
We do not remove vehicles for being parked in contravention of the parking restrictions.
However, there are times where we may need to relocate a vehicle to an alternative on-street location in the vicinity of where it was parked.
It’s also possible that your vehicle may have been removed by:
-
a neighbouring borough if you parked on a street bordering Westminster in contravention of their regulations
-
Transport for London if you were parked on a red route
Your vehicle may also be removed if:
-
it is considered to be abandoned
-
it is untaxed
If you think your vehicle has been removed
Contact Tow-away Removal and Clamping Enquires (TRACE). This is a free online service which is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
TRACE will advise which car pound the vehicle has been taken to and provide information on the procedure for the vehicle's release.
Alternatively you can contact TRACE Customer Services Helpdesk on 0300 077 0100 if you cannot contact the service online. Charges may apply.
The TRACE SMS service has been discontinued.
