Season 3, Episode 9 - Dr Juanita Cox
Our guest is Dr Juanita Cox, the Black British History Community Engagement Fellow at the Institute of Historical Research. Juanita worked on the Windrush Scandal and is about to launch a new exhibition on Colonialism and Independence at the University of London. She also speaks about Black History Month, saying, "It absolutely needed to become a common feature of the annual calendar. But now I think we've evolved to a state where Black History needs to be an inclusive part of British History."
Dr Juanita Cox's book choices are:
- The Life and Death of Sylvia' by Edgar Mittelholzer
- 'Shame on Me: an anatomy of race and belonging' by Tessa McWatt
