Accessible and inclusive spaces

How we are working to improve access around Westminster for all.

Westminster Council is committed to creating inclusive spaces for everyone in our community. By making our operational buildings more accessible, we ensure that people with physical disabilities and neurodiverse needs can navigate, use, and benefit from these spaces without barriers. This initiative reflects our dedication to equality, enhancing the usability of public services for all residents. By adapting our facilities—whether through physical adjustments like ramps and lifts, or sensory-friendly designs for neurodiverse individuals—we aim to foster a more welcoming and supportive environment, empowering everyone to fully participate in the community.

Please explore the resources available on this page, and feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions or require additional assistance. Thank you for visiting, and we look forward to supporting you in your journey to accessing the services and facilities you need.

We are excited to announce that we have rolled out welcoME across 39 of our buildings including our corporate offices, libraries, leisure centres and housing estate offices.

This innovative service is designed to enhance your experience by ensuring that our staff are informed of your accessibility needs before you arrive.

With welcoME, you can notify us in advance of any support you require, helping us to provide a more tailored and welcoming service.

Whether you need assistance navigating our spaces, additional communication support, or simply want to feel more at ease during your visit, welcoME ensures that your needs are met with care and understanding.
