The Abbey is a place that's touched the lives of kings, queens, statesmen and soldiers, poets, priests, heroes and villains since 960AD. Westminster Abbey has been the Coronation Church since 1066 and is the resting place of more than 3,000 great Britons.
The medieval galleries tower high above the Abbey floor and display the greatest treasures of its 1,000-year history.
Westminster City Save card holders can also visit the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Galleries at Westminster Abbey free of charge, courtesy of Open Westminster. Open Westminster is the charity of Cllr Angela Harvey, Past Lord Mayor of Westminster.
Proof of your home address and your Westminster City Save card are required on admission. Please note that Westminster Abbey is open to visitors most days, but as a living working church it may be closed to the public at certain times. Please check the Abbey website.
