What's next
We are constantly reviewing and updating our data platform with new and valuable features. Here are some examples of features we are currently working on and will soon release.
School traffic count data
Interactive reports presenting traffic count data from sensors installed outside the following schools:
Traffic count sensors are installed outside:
- Wilberforce Primary School
- St Saviour's Church of England Primary School
- George Eliot Primary School
- Essendine Primary School
The data from these sensors will be presented on our website in near real-time views and interactive charts. This will help show changes in traffic outside schools for engagement and evaluation purposes.
New air quality data sets from the Soho Project
With diffusion tube data now published, we intend to present the higher-resolution monitoring data for five sensors as soon as it becomes available.
New air quality data sets from the Strand Aldwych project
King's College London and ReSET (Restarting Economy in Support of Environment, through Technology), a Horizon 2020-funded research project, have been collecting air and noise pollution data in the area since June 2021. The council has been supporting their work and we plan to include their data on our platform.
If you have any suggestions or comments about the air quality data platform, please contact us by emailing: [email protected].
