Key dates

• Publication of Notice of Election, Wednesday 14 August 2024.
• Delivery of nomination papers opens from  9am on Wednesday 14 August  2024. Nomination papers can be delivered between 9am and 5pm each day, up to 4pm on Thursday 22 August 2024
• Deadline for receiving applications to register to vote, if not already registered, Tuesday 3 September 2024
• Deadline to apply for a postal vote and for changes to existing postal or proxy votes, 5pm Wednesday 4 September 2024.
• Deadline to apply for a proxy vote, not postal proxies or emergency proxies, 5pm on Wednesday 11 September 2024.
• Deadline to apply for a Voter Authority Certificate, a free form of voter ID, 5pm Wednesday 11 September 2024.

In-person polling will take place from 7am to 10pm on Thursday, 19 September 2024.

Voters voting in person at polling places will need to show photo ID.
