Join us at our Friday Victoria Mini Hub Makerspace sessions, where you can learn basic carpentry, drill skills, laser cutting, clay casting and more!
Friday 7 February: Introduction to drill skills (Women only)
Learn the essential drill skills to do basic DIY, such as putting up a shelf or hanging a mirror. You will learn how to select the correct combination of drill bit, wall fixing and screw to ensure that your shelves can hold your heavy items and mirror and artworks stay up. No experience is necessary; we aim to give you the confidence and know-how to tackle DIY tasks at home.
Time: 2pm until 4pm
Friday 7 March: Intro to drill skills

Friday 21 March: Techniques to upcycle
In this upcycling workshop, we will demonstrate several modern craft techniques for upcycling and updating old furniture, making it new and beautiful. We will also demonstrate techniques for painting furniture, how to paint and finish wooden furniture, and how to decoupage using wallpaper to decorate items.
Time: 2pm until 4pm
Friday 28 March: Make your own lino print
Learn to lino print precisely in this blended workshop using the laser cutter and traditional lino printing techniques! In this workshop, you will learn the basics of laser cutting to engrave your design onto your lino prints accurately. We will then move on to carving the lino and finally printing your design onto paper, ready for you to take home. No experience is required to join this workshop.
