Climate Risk and Vulnerability Assessment
We have conducted a Climate Risk and Vulnerability Assessment (CRVA) in partnership with technical partner, Arup.
The CRVA is an important step in building an evidence-base to understand what people, businesses, services, assets and natural spaces of Westminster are most at-risk to extreme weather events now and into the future.
The report also includes a list of recommendations for the council to consider when embedding resilience and adaptation into our ongoing work to address the climate and ecological emergencies.
Westminster is already experiencing the impacts of climate change and is projected to endure more frequent and severe extreme weather events in the future. The CRVA covers the following areas:

How different climate hazards impact Westminster’s people and communities, built environment and infrastructure, business and industry and the natural environment

Opportunities, constraints and recommendations for action on climate adaptation and resilience.
