Printing using Kuario payment system
Kuario allows you to print, scan and photocopy from your own device. You do not need to already be registered as a library member to use Kuario which includes an app you can send documents from and pay online, as well as a card reader as well as a coinbox to pay for your printing and photocopying at the library. Additionally, you can now send scans to your email address.
To print from your phone, tablet or laptop, follow these step by step instructions:
- From the printer menu select PRINT.
- Press GUEST.
- Open the camera on your phone and scan the QR code on the screen.
- A link will flash up on your phone. Press on it and it will open the KUARIO PRINT screen.
- Press PRINT. You will see options of where to select your print from. Select the location on your phone where you have saved your file(s).
- Select the document or image you want to print and press ADD.
- The name of your document or images will appear on the KUARIO print screen. Press PRINT.
- Your print jobs will be transferred to the Ricoh printer.
- Press PRINT SELECTION.
- You basket will be displayed, along with the total cost of the printing. If you are happy with your selection press CHECKOUT.
- The payment screen will display. Pay your coins into the coinbox. Be aware it will not give change. If you need change please ask at the staff desk.
- You can also tap the touchless card reader at the top of the payment tower to make the payment.
- Once the total amount is paid, your documents will be printed.

Please note that you don’t have to be in the library to print from a mobile device or even your home computer. Anything you send to be printed, you have six hours to come into a library to release and pay for your printing.
