All applications must include:

  • a plan of the premises clearly identifying the rooms where ceremonies will occur
  • written consent from the appropriate governing body, if you want approval for a if you want approval for a religious premises

  • Consent needed from General Secretary of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales

Church of England, church or chapel

  • Consent needed from General Synod

Church in Wales, church or chapel

  • Consent needed from Governing Body of the Church in Wales

Methodist Church, place of meeting for religious worship

  • Consent needed from Conference of the Methodist Church

Society of Friends, place of meeting for members

  • Consent not required.
