About the service

Switchboard LGBT+ helpline(link is external) is the national LGBTQIA+ support line. It is for anyone, anywhere in the country, at any point in their journey. Switchboard can discuss anything related to sexuality and gender identity, whether it is sexual health, relationships, or just the way you are feeling. This is your space to explore, talk, and be truly heard.

How to access the service

You can call the helpline 0800 0119 100. It is open 10am to 10pm every day.

Email the team will respond within five days.

About the service

The International Student App (UK)(link is external) provides international students with reliable information, practical tips, and support links so they can have the best possible university experience.

The app educates international students about health and well-being and explains what to do next when concerned or in crisis. It promotes safe self-care, offers practical tips on anything that might affect students' health and well-being, and reduces avoidable pressure on services. The app also signposts services and other support, making international students aware of useful resources and how to get help if they need it.

The app supports housing, academic skills, student life, and living in the UK. It has 11 sections that are easily accessible from the home page.

About the service

Student Health(link is external) is a free app containing over 900 pages of reliable health information, including mental health advice.

The app was co-created by practising doctors and students and has been approved by the NHS as a trusted source. The Student Health app works offline, providing access to app content without an internet connection.

The app offers information and advice about mental health, first aid and emergencies, alcohol and drugs, healthy living, love and relationships, male and female health, healthy living, safety, and NHS support.

About the service

Our City(link is external) is a platform where you can discover activities, programmes, and support for under-25s in Kensington and Chelsea.

Our City works with local youth organisations and service providers to bring everything together in one place, making it easy for under-25s to discover great free and low-cost activities.

Galop

About the service

Galop(link is external) specialises in supporting victims and survivors of domestic abuse, sexual violence, hate crime, honour-based abuse, forced marriage, so-called conversion therapies, and other forms of interpersonal abuse. Galop is a service run by LGBT+ people for LGBT+ people, and the needs of our community are at the centre of what we do.

Galop runs four national support helplines for LGBT+ victims and survivors of:

  • domestic abuse
  • hate crime
  • rape
  • so-called "conversion therapy".

The Galop team provides longer-term support to thousands of LGBT+ victims and survivors of abuse through advocacy services. Galop is person-centred, empowerment-based, and trauma-informed, meaning it focuses on helping clients decide what is best for them and then supporting them through their journey.

The Al-Hasaniya Moroccan Women’s Centre

About the service

The Al-Hasaniya Moroccan Women’s Centre(link is external) is dedicated to addressing the health, welfare, educational, and cultural needs of Moroccan and Arabic-speaking women and their families in London. The centre is staffed entirely by women.

The centre provides a range of support services, including:

  • assistance for domestic abuse
  • mental wellbeing support
  • aid for Grenfell survivors
  • outreach for older people
  • drop-in and activities
  • The ESOL project

How to access the service

For one-to-one support and advocacy for young women (13 to 25) with an earning disability, autism or both who have experienced any form of gender-based violence, fill out the form on the Responed website.(link is external)

Weekly drop-in surgery on Fridays between 10am to 12pm (noon) for Arabic-speaking women who live in Kensington and Chelsea and the surrounding boroughs.
