The Silver Line Helpline, run by Age UK, is free service for people aged over 55 who would benefit from a friendly chat. We provide conversation 24 hours a day, especially for those who may be experiencing feelings of loneliness and isolation.
Unfortunately, we do not offer any counselling or specialist mental health support via The Silver Line. Please also note that The Silver Line does not offer any kind of crisis or emergency service and callers who require this kind of support should contact either 999 or 111.

Antidote is the UK’s only LGBTQ+ run and targeted drug and alcohol support service. Set up in 2002, the team works with both drug and alcohol users and healthcare professionals. Antidote gives non-judgemental, free advice and support delivered by highly trained staff and volunteers – all of whom identify as LGBTQ+ and who have a good understanding of the pressures and problems that come with recreational drug or alcohol use.
Antidote offers:

group work (Chemcheck, SWAP, Reclaim)and relapse prevention support
sober social activities
referral to detox clinics and prescribing centres
referral to our counselling service
two weekly drop-ins to discuss substance use issues, sexual health and mental health

Switchboard LGBT+ helpline is the national LGBTQIA+ support line. It is for anyone, anywhere in the country, at any point in their journey. Switchboard can discuss anything related to sexuality and gender identity, whether it is sexual health, relationships, or just the way you are feeling. This is your space to explore, talk, and be truly heard.

The International Student App (UK) provides international students with reliable information, practical tips, and support links so they can have the best possible university experience.
The app educates international students about health and well-being and explains what to do next when concerned or in crisis. It promotes safe self-care, offers practical tips on anything that might affect students' health and well-being, and reduces avoidable pressure on services. The app also signposts services and other support, making international students aware of useful resources and how to get help if they need it.
The app supports housing, academic skills, student life, and living in the UK. It has 11 sections that are easily accessible from the home page.
Student Health is a free app containing over 900 pages of reliable health information, including mental health advice.
The app was co-created by practising doctors and students and has been approved by the NHS as a trusted source. The Student Health app works offline, providing access to app content without an internet connection.
