About the fund
Following Cabinet approval on 15 July 2024, we are excited to announce the launch of the North Paddington Community Capital Grants Fund. The fund will support third party North Paddington based organisations, with opportunities to apply for capital investments. Find more about the North Paddington Programme.
This fund supports capital projects to improve non-council owned buildings and facilities in North Paddington. The goal is to enhance benefits for residents through better services and activities.
We are inviting local voluntary and community organisations to submit an expression of interest. If your organisation is eligible, we’ll guide you through the next steps, including how to apply.
The next submission deadline is Friday 2nd May.
We will run another round later this year and expressions of interest are welcome at any time.
Available funding
The grant pot is £4.5 million and will be distributed over the financial years 2024/25 and 2025/26. Up to £2.25 million is available in the 2024/25 financial year and any unallocated funds will be made available for allocation in the financial year 2025/26.
There is no defined upper limit on the budget available for individual applications. Each application will be reviewed by a panel, along with due diligence material provided, to determine approval and the release of funds.
Aims of the fund
The fund prioritises improving voluntary sector buildings. Many organisations struggle to fund essential upgrades, which limits their ability to provide much needed services. This fund is designed to help them invest in their spaces, improving conditions and increasing their capacity to serve the community.
Modern, fit-for-purpose facilities are critical for delivering quality services in health, social care, leisure, and culture. These spaces should empower organisations to grow and meet the evolving needs of local residents.
Investing in, and improving, voluntary sector buildings is a key priority of the council’s North Paddington Programme.
