Proposed amalgamation of Barrow Hill Junior, George Eliot Primary and Robinsfield Infant School
Statutory Proposal to amalgamate Barrow Hill Junior, George Eliot Primary and Robinsfield Infant Schools
The proposal is to amalgamate Barrow Hill Junior School, George Eliot Primary School and Robinsfield Infant School as a two-form entry primary school from 1 September 2025. The school will operate as a split site school located at the Barrow Hill and Robinsfield school sites. No pupils will be displaced as there will be a guaranteed place for pupils on the roll of all three schools at the amalgamated school.
For approximately 2 to 3 years, the George Eliot Primary School site will be utilised as the Lower School site. This is whilst significant refurbishment at the Robinsfield school site takes place to provide a fully accessible school for children, including extended 0 to 3 year-old childcare provision to complement existing nursery provision.
