Healthy Communities Fund

Find out how to apply for our Healthy Communities Fund.

Eligibility and funding priorities

We encourage you to be ambitious in your application to have the greatest impact in your community. We will prioritise applications that demonstrate an understanding of public health needs and outcomes and showcase new ways of working.

We will prioritise applications supporting the following residents:

  • People living in areas of deprivation, prioritising but not limited to Churchill Gardens, Westbourne, Harrow Road, Church Street, Queen’s Park
  • Global majority communities particularly where there is evidence of increased prevalence of long-term conditions such as obesity and hypertension
  • Adults, children and young people with learning disabilities and/or physical disabilities, and additional funding may be available if there is a need to make your activity more accessible
  • Adults, children and young people with mental health conditions
  • Girls only physical activity initiatives, with a focus on teenage girls.

Organisations can apply for an amount of between £20,000 and £40,000 per year for a total of three years. Please contact us should you require a smaller or larger amount of funding for programme delivery. Organisations' annual expenditure should be of equal value or greater than the amount requested.

Additional funding will be available for training and development.

We will also prioritise applications from a consortium of organisations who would like to work together, with a lead organisation responsible for funds and overall delivery. Smaller organisations, with annual expenditure of below £20,000 can access funding via a partnership with a larger organisation. Consortia can also apply for a higher amount. Please get in touch to discuss your consortium plans.

Additional funding will be available for training and development for those who have been successful.
