Huguenot House update, January 2024
Huguenot House is a building containing residential and business properties, located between Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus.
Options for the future of Huguenot House have been under consideration since 2017, and in March 2021, the decision was taken that the preferred option for the building was redevelopment. If we decide to redevelop Huguenot House it will be on the basis that it will deliver significant physical improvements to residents and the wider community, providing a better environment for people to live, work and visit the area
Appointing a delivery partner
As part of our consideration of all possible options for the future of Huguenot House, we have now started the process of looking for a delivery partner to work alongside us. The appointment of a delivery partner was considered and agreed by cabinet on 18 September 2023. We will be looking for a partner with significant experience of delivering well designed buildings with high-quality homes and facilities and expect to find a partner by the end of 2024.
We are committed to keeping businesses, residents and leaseholders updated on progress.

Update on the Rehousing Policy, December 2021
Thank you for giving us your feedback on the rehousing policy. In March 2021 the council made the decision to redevelop Huguenot House. The following document summarises the rehousing offer for affected residents and the advice and support available.
Preferred way forward, March 2021
Thanks to everyone who shared their thoughts between 9 November 2020 and 15 January 2021 on the refreshed options for the future of Huguenot House.
Following analysis of feedback from the options consultation on the future of Huguenot House, the Cabinet Member for Finance and Smart City at Westminster City Council on 10 March 2021 decided to progress the Redevelopment (New) Option.
As detailed proposals are developed, these will be put forward to the community for consultation prior to a planning application.
Council tenants and resident leaseholders who wish to return to a home in the new development once complete will be able to do so. Residents will be supported and kept informed at every stage of the process.
