Panel chairs
We are appointing 2 to 3 chairs.
Please indicate in the application form whether you wish to be considered for this role.
The chairs will be well-respected professionals who can act as a figurehead for the panel.
In addition to the above criteria, chairs will be able to demonstrate:
- excellent management, leadership, diplomatic and communication skills, with the ability to guide panel discussions and ensure positive and constructive feedback
- a collaborative approach, with the ability to bring together and summarise broad, disparate or conflicting views and reach a consensus on key issues to be addressed
- previous experience of design review panels and a track-record of working collaboratively across disciplines to achieve excellent design outcomes
- knowledge of the Westminster and London planning and development context
- availability to attend at least 6 review meetings per year (all day duration), plus preparation time , ideally as many as possible
- availability to attend quarterly meetings with council officers, as well as possible one-off meetings and stakeholder events outside of review dates, and you may also be asked to partake in training and engagement events within the city
