If you or the person you are with can keep themselves safe for a short while but is still in need of urgent help:
- Dial 111 on your phone and speak to the NHS Mental Health Triage Service. It is free and open 24/7.
- Contact your or their GP surgery and ask for an emergency appointment.
- 24-hour Mental Health Crisis Helpline: Find an NHS Urgent Mental Health Helpline.
- People with hearing problems can use the NHS 111 British Sign Language (BSL) service.

Urgent, bereavement and domestic abuse support
Life can be difficult at times, and you might need some extra support to get through it.
Whether you, a friend, a family member, a client or a colleague are facing a crisis, a loss, or an abusive situation, you don't have to go through it alone. Many services can help you cope and overcome your challenges.
These services include:
- emergency help and crisis support: Instant help for mental and emotional crises, providing 24/7 phone lines, crisis response, and urgent therapeutic support.
- bereavement support: Services that assist you with coping with loss and grief counselling. The support may be given through support groups, one-to-one support, and resources.
- domestic violence help and support: Confidential aid for people facing domestic violence, legal help, and continuous support services.
- mental health advice and support: Services that can support you with your well-being.

Service for adults who are 18+
Practical and emotional support for young adults aged 18 to 25 with complex and multiple needs.

Free multi-lingual faith-based counselling to adults who are looking to address specific issues with their mental health.
