Pay and reward
Leave and flexible working
We offer 31 days of annual leave to all staff, with the option of carrying over five days' leave and buying an additional 10 days' leave.
As part of our inclusion approach, we have a flexible working policy and generous parental leave.
Employees who become parents and meet the eligibility criteria are entitled to an enhanced OPP, which is made up of 26 weeks at full pay (including statutory maternity pay), followed by 26 weeks at half pay (including statutory maternity pay).
You will also be entitled to one day of leave for your birthday as an appreciation of our staff.
To appreciate our staff, we have introduced birthday leave across the council.
Rewarding your contribution
Where staff go the extra mile by taking a lead in a project, a particularly complex piece of work or taking on additional responsibilities, there are discretionary financial rewards of £1000 and £2000.
If you want to be trained and take on additional first aid responsibilities or become a fire warden, you will be eligible for an annual payment of £100.
