Project update
As you may be aware, United Living have been updating and finalising details around the specification, costs and programme for the project. This is incorporated into a document called the Service Provider Proposals which came back to the project team in July 2024 for review.
The review has taken place and the predicted costs for the scheme now significantly exceed the council’s original budget. Following internal meetings held last week we have had to take the difficult decision to reconsider the best way we can deliver these works for residents with particular consideration for the impact on leaseholder bills.
We remain conscious that there are some high priority items for residents including the works to the water tanks and water supply to flats and we will look into the best way to prioritise these works.
I know this will be disappointing news to some, and I would like to thank everyone that has been involved so far for their cooperation, feedback and support.
As soon as I have an update or more information to share with you, I will write to you again.
