Maintaining data quality
We are legally required to knowingly pay the correct pension. We maintain compliance with our statutory obligation through monitoring and improving our data scores.
We are very proud of the fact that since we moved to Hampshire Pension Services in November 2021, our Common and Conditional data scores have been increasing.
In order to maintain our data scores and improve for the future, we require our scheme employers to also focus on maintaining their data quality by monitoring and improving their record keeping accuracy.
Poor Common data may mean that we cannot contact members and link them to their pensions and poor Conditional data such as incorrect or missing CARE pay means that the LGPS pension benefit promised to the member isn’t correct and could mean them losing out on their entitled pension benefit.
