Notting Hill Carnival advice for Westminster residents

More information for Westminster residents about road closures, bins, ID and other changes over the carnival weekend.

Street trading

Applications to trade at Notting Hill Carnival are now closed.

We are no longer accepting applications, any applications received after 8 July will be invalidated and refunded.

Trading locations 

The onsite locations are in Westbourne Park Road and Talbot Road. The offsite location is Maida Hill Market.  

Westbourne Park Road 

There are 14 food pitches available on Westbourne Park Road

Talbot Road

There are 3 food pitches (that are suitable for open barbecue), 8 non-food pitches and 9 trailer pitches available on Talbot Road.  

Please note, open barbecues are not permitted on the trailer (green) pitches on Talbot Road.

Maida Hill Market 

There are 10 pitches available for food on Maida Hill. 5 pitches are available on Maida Hill Market square and 5 pitches on Fernhead Road.

Fees

Pitch fees per day:

  • Food pitch, £620 
  • Non-food pitch, £465 
  • Trailer pitch, £541 
  • Maida Hill pitch, £541 
  • Parking permit, £50

Applications

Applications for street trading at Notting Hill Carnival have now closed.

All applications and supporting information must be supplied no later than 8 July 2024 for your application to be considered.

Any applications or supporting information received after 8 July will be invalidated and application fee refunded. Please note that changes to driver or vehicle information will not be accepted after 13 August 2024.

Trader briefing sessions 

  • Session 1: 21 August 2024
  • Session 2: 22 August 2024 

Attendance at one of the 2 briefing sessions is compulsory for all licence holders. Your licence will be issued at the trader briefing session. Failure to attend a trader briefing session will result in your application being cancelled and you will receive a 30% refund of the application fee paid.
